Guidespot is a production of Local Matters, a leading global provider of Local Search technology and media publishing solutions.

The Company was founded by experienced industry executives and technologists in late 2001 as Aptas, Inc., pioneering industry leading local content and search applications. After three years of successful growth, armed with a prominent position in powering interactive Yellow Pages, we formed Local Matters in 2005. Through a strategic merging of three complementary technology businesses in yellow pages, media publishing and voice and wireless services, the Company created a scale of development, industry expertise, and customer position to form a definitive leadership position in the local search industry.

With a base of more than 40 global clients, a world-class management team, and a highly skilled and experienced team of 200 professionals, Local Matters continues on its mission to drive the successful evolution of Local Search, in close alignment and support of incumbent local media publishers and information service providers.
